1902 Blair FOCUSING WENO HAWK-EYE No. 3 Rollfilm and Plate Camera ~ Maroon Bellows. This camera and Kodak's Screen Focus camera were rivals in the early 1900's (see my other auctions for the Kodak version.) Blair had a clever design that allowed the rollfilm section to be raised straight up using the handle, automatically allowing the ground glass back to help the photographer focus on the subject. [The button on the front right to raise the rollfilm section I cannot get to work, but when my husband was alive, I did see the rollfilm section up. You can see it lifted in our book, Reflecting on Photography, on page 66.]It used 118 film for 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" exposures. The camera measures 9-1/2" x 3-1/2" x 6" tall.
This camera was part of my late husband's 50+ year camera collection, so is being sold "as-is." Please ask questions before bidding because I do not accept returns ~ thanks.
