Antique Working Duck Decoy

I have the pleasure of offering an original Bob Hunkins working cedar duck decoy. I have 5 total decoys, but will have them in separate auctions to help offset shipping issues. These decoys are coming around to being 100 years old and could still be hunted over today ( Please do not do that :). Bob Hunkins was considered the "King of Cork Decoys" and these gems were handmade by the man before cork became readily available. A bit of history on Bob Hunkins- Bob was a founding member of the Greenhead Club on Michigan's Saginaw bay. These decoys were hunted in famous waters, by famous Men. One of Bob's hunting partners was John "Sandy" Morrow. Morrow is regarded by hunters and duck call collectors as one of the best call makers of all time! One of his calls was used to win the prestigious Champion of Champions duck calling contest in Stuttgart Arkansas. There are a few of the decoys that have caught some lead, and anyone of these fine founding fathers could have put it there. This is auction 3 of 5.
