I think the brace/bar that keeps the front door closed might be missing. It doesn't stay shut. It opens for display fine, but only stays shut if the door is face up. I know very little about how to check or operate this camera. Since I can't figure it out, I listed it as parts or repair.
As to the shutter, I can make it open and close by manually moving the 3 levers on the front of the lens, but i don't know if that is the proper way to work it.
I have inherited lots of vintage cameras.. Therefore, I have no way of knowing if anything works on them or not. Buying as is. In my opinion, they appear to be in good condition for their age.
