    Description

Vintage 1910’s Kodak No. 3A Hawkeye Folding Cartridge Camera. Considering its age, this camera is in great shape. I’m certainly no camera expert, but the aperture and shutter appear to work well. The lens has some dust and the viewfinder has significant dust on the mirror. I know film for this camera is no longer made, but I’ve read it can be used with respooled 120 film; however, please do your research and verify this can be done with good results if that is your intention. The dust issue is easily corrected with CLA by a competent camera technician. Since I’m selling this camera, I will let the purchaser decide on what to do about cleaning it. I know some collectors like antiques in ALL original condition, dust and all, so that the way it’s staying. What I think makes this camera very special is the fact its original leather case is included and is intact. Notes on the operation of this camera were hand written on the flap underside by a person named E. Horgan at 1537 Eddy, San Francisco, California. It has a pretty neat provenance for sure. Please see pictures for other details, and if you have any questions, please ask. Another note: there is a threaded hold on the outside of the front door which folds down to extend the bellows and front standard. I don’t think something is missing here; this appears to be where you could attach a tripod. Free shipping with buy it now feature. Thanks for looking.
