    Description

    This is a Mallard Drake Miniature Duck Decoy hand carved and painted by Steiner Pierce (b.1927) of Havre de Grace, MD. Mr. Pierce is the older brother of legendary Maryland carver, Jim Pierce.
    This little Mallard is very nicely done. It measures 6” in length, 2.25” in width and stands 2.75” tall. It is very nicely painted and displays very attractively. The neck has a hairline crack that does not go all around and may in fact be just in the paint. I have photographed that area specifically. This item has a bit of handling & shelf wear but no issues that I can see. This item is signed by the maker. Please see photos provided.
