Mason Decoy Co. mallard duck Detriot Michigan ca. 1920
A machine made Premier model hen mallard duck decoy by the Mason Decoy Co. ,Detriot , Michigan ( 1896-1924) circa 1920. Measures 17 &1/2 inches from the tip of the bill to the tail. glass eyes, hollow, original paint with some filler and paint touch up at the neck seem  and right and left side of the body seems,  about 35% of the end of the bill has been restored ( new- see photo) all the rest of the decoy is in
original paint
. missing the anchor tie, never had a ballast weight- don't think is was use very much- there is ware on the bottom as if it was on a fire place mantle or hearth most of its life, no visible maker stamp on the bottom. 90% of the Masons I get are standard grade, hence .
the body appears to be a little larger than the normal size but I don't have another premier to compare it to .They made a blockier body near the end of there history.Guaranteed to be as described/pictured.
NOTE; most of the shine on the decoys is from the camera lights
