The surface of the wood carries a warm patina; I am assuming there is a light oil finish on the wood. This decoy has come from a smoke free estate collection and is odor free.

    DESCRIPTION
    This listing is for a signed and dated 1992 D.D.D. Dan Dup???le?? carved solid walnut red breasted merganser duck decoy. Made from a solid piece of walnut wood this hand carved decoy features hand carved eyes. The artist chose the piece of walnut wood well as the intricate scalloped patterning in the wood perfectly mimic the feathering on the merganser duck. The underside of the decoy is signed D.D.D. 1992 and has a signature in marker which reads Dan and perhaps Dupler or Dupelor. I cannot make out the exact spelling of the carver's last name.

Your item will be fully insured and packaged appropriately with tissue paper, bubble wrap, and Styrofoam peanuts. After packaging the shipping box weighs 4 pounds 12 ounces.
