Vintage 1960's wooden ILLINOIS RIVER ' DRAKE MALLARD ' duck decoy. Original paint and glass eyes. 17 1/4 " long
. Very good to excellent condition and clean.
Barn find near Sycamore, IL. Well composed and shaped. Nicely hand painted. Dense woods. Keel and body attached with 11 large standard wood screws. No movement in joints. Weighs a hefty 3 pounds 13 ounces.

Measures 17 1/4 inches long by 9 1/4 inches high and 7 inches wide
. Marked #7 L. BAUN 1969 on the bottom keel.
No cracks, gouges or stains. I find some small scuffs, scrapes commensurate with normal use, cleaning and storage. There is very light paint loss overall. The front of the white ring (around neck) has a tiny 1/16th of an inch metal pin protruding from paint.
