Conley Junior 3 ¼” x 5 1/4” red bellows view cameraThis is a
Conley Junior
sheet film bellows camera. The camera folds up compactly to 7” x 4 ¾” x 2 ¾”. It has a glass viewing plate in the rear and a rotating vertical/horizontal viewfinder attached to the drop-down front door. There is a tripod socket on the bottom side. There is a carrying strap, which is still intact. The bellows has broken through on one side (see photos) and has some pinholes. Patent for the camera is for Aug. 13, 1907.
Lens by Wollensack Optical Co, Rochester, NY is marked as “8 ¼ x 5 ½ Rapid Rectilinear”. Aperture from f/8-128; shutter speeds of T,B, and I for Instant. Shutter and apertures are in working condition. Lens is clear with no fungus, very minimal haze, dust, and scratches. The lens movement can be raised or lowered. Patent for the lens is for Jul. 23, 1901.
The back opens for viewing and is spring-hinged to take a film holder. Film viewing area is 3 1/4” x 5 1/4”.
