Vintage Elmore Camp California Duck Decoy. Elmore Camp is a California carver. This Canvasback drake is one of two dozen in this style made by Camp around 1944-1946 (see the almost identical decoy photographed in "Wildfowl Decoys of California" on P182 by Michael Miller, refer to the above photo of the book and page describing Elmore Camp decoys, Book not for sale). Fine condition working decoy with some interesting history about the carver. Decoy is sound with original paint, head may have been correctly touched up, not sure about that. Here is one of the few chances to purchase one of a limited number existing origimal Elmore Camp Canvasback decoy.
