Description
This bantail pegion came out of the North West. It is cork with a pine head glass eyes and is in orginal paint. A small metal screw is used for the beak. It was made and used in his hunting rig by WORTH MATHEWSON (CIRCA 1970). Last used in 1976 on a hunt in the Oregon Coast Range at the mineral springs above the Elk River. The pigeons still fly there for a short season each year but there are not many of the old hunters left to bother them. Nice metal stand included along with a article written by Mr Mathewson for Grays Sporting Journal in 1978. It is 14" from beak to tail
