Vintage Jessie Urie hen Bluebill decoy

Vintage Jessie Urie hen Bluebill decoy. The late Jessie Urie was from Rock Hall, Md. on the Eastern shore of the Chesapeake bay. Jessie made working decoys for hunters and once each year made miniatures to be used as gifts at Christmas. His decoys are easy to identify by the manner in which the heads were mounted and shaped. This bird is a classic hen Bluebill and is in good condition except a crack down the back (see picture) . This bird was considered a decorative version with a flat bottom.
