    Description

    Hollow Body Hand Carved Canvas Back Duck Decoy by Frank J Brogan
    Up for your consideration is this vintage hand carved hollow body wood Canvas Back Duck Decoy by Saginaw Bay, Michigan, carver Frank J. Brogan. Circa is 1930's. This is part of a private collection of Saginaw Bay and Port Huron, Michigan decoy carvers. Paint is original to the decoy and includes Black head and body with remnants of the grey middle. Single Red glass eye. Right eye has been shot out as is evidenced by the amount of buck shot holes in this duck. Bottom is grey with the leather strap on bottom front and a lead weight. F.J. Brogan is stamped into wood on underside.
