Please Read This Description Completely Before Making Your PurchaseThis camera was part of the estate of a collector in my family. I know little about the camera but will do the best to describe it with the information I have available. Any mistakes or omissions are not intentional. If you have any questions please ask.
This is a Voigtlander Braunschweig 129mm roll film folding camera. - This has an Embezet shutter and a folding bed with radial focusing. There is a retracta ble viewer on the left side.
Using the serial number on the lens this would have been manufactured around 1927. The opening directly behind the bellows measures approximately 47mm x 76.7mm. Film spool measures approx 52mm ID and has an overall length of approx 57.9mm. Closed this camera measures about 3" x 1.25" x 5.75". It has a Voigtar Anastigmat 9cm (90mm) f:6.3 lens. Aperture range is F6.3 to F25. The aperture control works fine. Shutter speed range includes 25, 50, 100, Bulb and Time. I checked B and T. Both work perfectly. The high speed (100) shutter speed seems to work fine. I cannot see much of a difference between 1/50 and 1/25 sec. Both the viewfinder and lens are hazy.
NOTE: The button that is used to open the back is missing (see close-up photo). I had to use a very small screwdriver pushed thru the button hole to push on the latch in order to get the back open.
Leather shows typical wear . Bellows appears to be good when checked with a bright flashlight in a dark room. There were no obvious leaks. Everything else appears to work fine.
I could not find this model in the large McKeown's collectors manual !
