Genuine Casablanca Fan Replacement Part
3 speed control: High, Medium, Low.
The 4 wires coming into your switch should be : black - gray -brown - green.
BLACK WIRE MUST BE IN THE
"3"
POSITION (See Picture)
When changing the switch you do NOT need to cut the wires.
The wires are held in place with Tension Springs inside the switch.
Remove one wire at a time from the OLD switch and insert into the NEW switch.  Repeat this process until all wires have been transferred.
To remove the wire from the old switch, use a JUMBO paperclip as a tool and insert it into the switch along side of the wire to open the tension spring so that the wire can be pulled out.  (See Picture)
When inserting, push the wire into the new switch until you hear a click, at this time pull on the wire making sure that the wire is held tightly in the switch.
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN REPLACING THE SWITCH, IS MATCHING THE WIRES TO THE LETTER AND NUMBERS ON THE BACK OF THE SWITCH (L,3,1,2).
