Description
This includes the very hard to find stylus.116 film size. Kodar 131mm f7.9 lens, Kodex Shutter. Patent dates from 1913 through 1921.
The back of the body looks close to new, the leather looking almost perfect. There is a little lifting of the leather around the Autographic port handle, easily re-glued. The rest of the body and handle leather is well above average. Original handle with Kodak imprint missing a little of the original finish. Bellows and door leather on the separate front piece are in average condition for this age camera with some discoloration on the bellows leather. Please see zoomed pictures for theses and other condition details.
The Autographic feature allowed the user to make notations with a stylus on autographic film. Usually the stylus is missing but on this camera it is present in the holder next to the shutter. Well before the digital age, it is the first version of a "date stamp" type camera.
Focus is to 6 ft. Shutter is fully functional except T which functions like B (opens when shutter pressed and closes when shutter released).

You can take pictures on 120 film by threading onto the 116 spool. When you are done taking pictures, you must rewind the film back onto the 120 spool in a darkroom or changing bag before sending out for processing to avoid losing the now rare 116 spool.
Hard to find in this condition with the stylus.
